It’s only natural that people want to keep their skin looking their absolute best. For most people, that means keeping it smooth, helping it avoid going dry, and avoiding unsightly blemishes. There’s two aspects to skin that can be very difficult to regulate after they occur. Scars can be very unsightly. These large blemishes show where the skin has been damaged beyond compare. Stretch marks can be just as tedious. They can occur when someone’s body shape changes due to pregnancy, weight gain, puberty or other reasons for alterations! These appearance defining body marks can be difficult to shake from the skin. However, the good news is that there are ways to help reduce the appearance of these issues. These tips are natural, or are created from natural ingredients to try and help deal with those tedious stretch marks and scars.
1 - Aloe Vera
Seemingly there is nothing that this wonderful plant can’t do. Aloe vera helps remove or fix the skin tissue that has been damaged. It’s excellent for helping with stretch marks. Simply grow a nice aloe vera plant in your home (they look great too). From there, take some aloe vera gel each day. Massage it into the stretch marks for around 20 to 30 minutes. It’s intended to be done every day. Once the gel has been massaged into the skin, rinse with water.
2 - Collagenases
These products are also topical treatments. They can often be used for more severe cases like dangerous burns or skin ulcers. However, they also do an excellent job with scar tissue. The job of collagenases is to break down damaged tissues like scar tissue. Also completely follow the instructions that are on the package or given from a doctor. It may be combined with another treatment method as well.
3 - Scar Gel
This is a gel that is applied to scars directly. There are a variety of different versions available over the counter. Scar gel works in three different ways. The first is to try to reduce the drastic color of the scar closer to that of the skin. The second is to try to reduce the texture. Scars can feel very rough and pebbly to the touch. The third is simply fixing the overall appearance of the scar to try to drink it as much as possible. There are quite a few different scar gels on the market, so it’s good to get a recommendation or try a few until you get the one that works best for you.
4 - Almond and Coconut Oil
This is a wonderful remedy if you are dealing with annoying stretch marks. The two different oils both have solid healing properties. Combining them together makes for a nice concoction. Both are reasonably available, which makes getting this together less of a chore than some oils. The key is to massage it into the skin regularly on the stretch marks. Since this remedy is completely 100% natural, there’s no downside to giving it a shot. If you don’t find it’s giving the results you wanted, there’s no side effects, so there’s no consequences to trying things out!
5 - Skin Masks
Most people use skin masks on their faces. However, there’s plenty of recipes for a skin mask that can be of great help to an area suffering from stretch marks. A common one consists of egg yolks, lemon juice, oatmeal, almond paste and milk. The idea is to let this skin mask dry completely on the relevant areas. Then wash it off and scrub carefully and gently. This doesn’t need to be done every day, but every other day should be fine. Another thing to be considered is that it’s not going to work overnight. Overnight remedies are false things. These take time to show effects.
