However more people have been studying mental health. Good businesses are taking advantage of good mental health and offering people time to work on their mental health. These forward thinking businesses are a true sign of the mental health revolution. If companies that used to only value milking every dollar in profits are willing to give some up for their employees mental health, then there’s hope for everyone when it comes to mental health!

There are many mental health disorders that are being tracked and treated throughout the world. Doctors continue to diagnose and research various disorders that affect people every day. As our understanding grows, so does our treatments.

Mental health is exceedingly complex. Medication is one way to help with it, but it’s not a magical cure all. Mental health is something that is worked on essentially every day. It’s something every person struggles with and handles in their own way. It’s difficult to go over all of the potential disorders that we might come across in this small space. Anxiety doesn’t just affect the mental health of someone, but it can also affect physical bodies. Those who suffer from anxiety will often deal with muscle pain and stomach issues like indigestion. It’s an unfortunate combination of mental and physical.

Bipolar Disorder

Many people have seen some of the effects of bipolar disorder. Those who suffer from it have to deal with rapid often unpredictable chances in mood and energy. Those who suffer from bipolar disorder will have good days, but also days in which they are unable to actively participate in normal daily tasks. These are the most serious of bipolar times. There are also lesser episodes. Less severe episodes are known as hypomanic episodes. These can be seen by others are unexplainable swings in a person's mood and activity, but not nearly to the same degree.

Schizophrenia

Some people consider schizophrenia to be the same thing as bipolar disorder. The truth is that schizophrenia and bipolar disorder tend to combine together to form schizoaffective disorder. Most people allow thought, emotion and behavior to work together in symbiosis. Schizophrenia breaks these bonds. This can often lead to delusion and a withdrawal from the reality everyone else sees. The mind fragments into different parts, which is why people often think of it as multiple personality disorder, tough in truth they are not the same thing.

Manic Depression

There are a lot of people dealing with depression and the various versions of it. People seem to think that manic depression is just a severe case of depression. The truth is that it is actually another name for bipolar disorder combined with clinical depression. Dealing with manic depression is very challenging.
